Whoever you are, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we are a welcoming Community of Faith at Gaetz Memorial United Church. We gather together to pursue compassion, justice and Love without restraint and, to walk humbly with God and one another.

CORE VALUES
Gaetz Memorial United Church is an evolving, vibrant, spirit-led Community of Faith that values being:

• Caring and Growing: We care for each other, share compassionate outpourings of Love, and grow our responding to the needs of the community. We work hard in supportive, respectful relationships that nurture change and our being a part of making things better.

• Progressive Theology: We embrace a more interpretive understanding that explores the context of the Scriptures. This guides uplifting worship and faith learning that challenges us to live the path of Christ and to be the Kingdom of God on Earth. Questions are encouraged as we explore theological concepts and interpretations.

• Affirming Ministry: We work toward healing and wholeness of creation, challenging bias and discrimination, and working for justice. We are public, intentional and explicit in offering a safe and supportive Community of Faith where we are all invited to be our authentic selves.

• Intentionally Inclusive: As an affirming Community of Faith we declare ourselves a safe and welcoming place for all diversity of backgrounds. Examples of all include ethnic backgrounds, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, abilities, and ages/stages of life.

• Creative and Innovative Action: We invite collaborative relationships that boldly shape our Community of Faith and influence how we actively serve God’s world. We celebrate gifts of hospitality, music, spiritual practice and art for ways they connect us spiritually.
